We will do our part to challenge you with your workouts while making them FUN and we ask that you do your part with nutrition.

At Ditching Diets Boot Camp we create a safe environment for adults of every fitness level. It is extremely important to us that every client feels comfortable coming to class no matter what their fitness level may be.

When most people hear of boot camp they think someone yelling and screaming and it may seem like an intimidating experience. At Ditching Diets Boot Camp™ we are here to support, encourage and challenge you both physically and mentally. We know how difficult it may seem to lose weight on your own and that’s why we are so big on SUPPORT! We want to make sure you get the results you desire. I chose to do boot camps because I felt it was a way to teach discipline and to create an environment of encouragement. I know what it’s like to struggle with weight and want to help others achieve the same results that I have had.

Selena’s Bio

Selena Tention is a pioneer of physical transformation, and a leader in the fitness and wellness industries. Selena holds a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal training certification and has a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Carolina. She became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2005 and was a personal trainer at Gold’s Gym between 2005-2006. She later left to pursue a career as a computer programmer.

Last year, Selena realized that although she had gone to school for computer programming something was missing. The desire to inspire people and help them with a long struggle of obesity and unhealthy eating was still burning inside of her. Friends and family had always turned to her for advice and she was able to help them get motivated and begin leading healthy lifestyles. Inspired to help even more people live healthier, happier lives, Selena decided to leave Corporate America to make this happen and created Ditching Diets Boot Camp. Selena currently has her boot camp at Hastings Point Clubhouse. Selena’s boot camp is designed to empower clients with information to begin making mental changes TODAY while creating a healthier and stronger physical body. Additionally, she is currently the coordinator for the Columbia area Let’s Move initiate for children. Selena’s enthusiasm, energy, and belief that EVERYONE can live a life they love in a body they love are infectious.

Selena’s quest to help people experience long lasting physical and mental transformation began as a young adult. Throughout early adulthood, she struggled with poor eating habits, excess weight gain, and depression. Through a personal discipline of exercise, healthy eating and positive meditation, Selena found she was able to create new habits of thought and action that enable her to live a life she loves in a body she loves. Her mission is now to share these techniques with people all over the globe. Selena is also focused on reversing the growing epidemic of childhood obesity with her Kardio Kidz fitness program.
